Introducing, Your Guides to Wellness.
Emily Foster MA, NCC, LLC, LPC.
Hello and welcome! I’m Emily Foster, the lead clinician and founder of Women’s Wellness Psychotherapy Services. It’s my sincere pleasure to introduce myself and share more about the heart behind this practice.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor with a deep passion for women’s mental health, I’ve dedicated my career to creating a safe, nurturing space where women can explore, heal, and grow. I understand firsthand the unique pressures and challenges women face—whether it's juggling multiple roles, navigating life transitions, or managing life’s anxieties and stressors. In my practice, I focus on helping women develop deeper self-awareness, boost self-esteem, and cultivate resilience to navigate life’s challenges with confidence and strength.
I’ve walked my own path through the complexities of womanhood and I know firsthand how overwhelming it can be, and that’s why I’m so committed to supporting women on their journey to wellness. Here, you’ll find a space where you’re not just seen and heard, but truly understood.
Thank you for considering Women’s Wellness Psychotherapy Services as a partner in your mental health journey. I’m here to walk with you every step of the way, and I’m excited to be a part of your journey toward empowerment and well-being.

So for a little inside scoop on me…I was born and raised in Ontario, Canada until 2010 when my family and I ventured to Arizona and started our new lives (talk about a shock to the system). I am happily married to my high school sweetheart. I have the sweetest & goofiest dog named George (yes, I will show you pictures). I can quote lines from virtually any episode of Desperate Housewives. I love to bake, read thriller novels, go on long walks, aimlessly roam the aisles of HomeGoods for hidden treasures, and subsequently, decorate and redecorate my home to create the optimal ambiance, but most importantly, I adore spending quality time with the people I love most.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Arizona State University, and from there went on to earn a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northern Arizona University. I have completed all education and training to become a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), a board-certified Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), and a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP). I have built a foundation of expertise that extends across various therapeutic modalities, with a specific emphasis on women’s mental health. Additionally, I have received specialized training from the American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), focusing on mental health in reproductive care, equipping me to support individuals navigating fertility challenges and other reproductive health concerns.

My therapeutic approach is centered around meeting each client’s individual needs with a blend of evidence-based practices. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy (PCT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to create a personalized, flexible treatment plan. My sessions are relaxed and client-led, allowing you to guide your own path to healing. With a warm, empowering, empathetic, and often humorous approach, I aim to make therapy feel like a safe, enjoyable, and supportive space—much like having a warm conversation with a friend over a cup of coffee. Together, we’ll explore your emotions, embrace your strengths, and foster your personal growth.

I’d love to tell you a bit about myself! I’m a proud mom to my lively and energetic daughter—my mini-me—and I’m happily married to my wonderful partner, who keeps life grounded and full of laughter. I come from a diverse background, being mixed Black, White, and Vietnamese, and I deeply value the richness that comes with embracing multiple cultures.
I was born in Hawaii but spent most of my life in North Carolina as a proud military brat, which taught me the importance of adaptability and resilience. My family also includes our small, spirited Yorkie named Nova, who never fails to keep things interesting.
When I’m not in the therapy room, you’ll find me coaching volleyball, which combines my love for teamwork and helping others grow or enjoying quiet moments with a good puzzle or a challenging LEGO set. I’m also in the early stages of learning Spanish—it’s been a fun and humbling challenge, to say the least!
Life is a beautiful mix of chaos and calm, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

My approach to therapy is all about meeting you where you are and working together in a way that feels comfortable and supportive for you. I use a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to help you manage emotions, navigate life’s challenges, and make meaningful changes. I believe that therapy should be a collaborative process, where your voice is always heard, and we work at your pace. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe to explore your thoughts and feelings, and where we can build strategies that help you grow, heal, and find the balance you’re looking for. Think of it as a partnership where I’m here to guide, support, and empower you every step of the way.
